Hello, Again

Time is going quickly.  It seems like I was just having trick or treaters at my door and now Winter Break will be here in 2 weeks!  I realized that some weeks, I really don't have to much to tell you so I won't be blogging.  Be assured we are always doing some great learning but some weeks are lacking in what we used to call "Kodak moments."  So here are some highlights from the last few weeks:

We had a great Veteran's Day ceremony on November 11th.  It's always a touching occasion at CCE to see the children so proud of their relatives who have served our country.  Pictured are Juliana and her daddy who participated in the ceremony.  I appologize that I didn't get pictures of the other students who had a visiting vereran.

The pictures below are of the chidlren playing "Roll-a-Turkey", a fun math game in which they roll 2 dice add the numbers and look at the chart to see which part of the turkey they should draw.  Whoever has drawn the whole turkey first wins.

 The pictures below are of the children in cooperative learning groups for Social Studies.  They had slips of paper that had a sentence like: "The mom is talking on the telephone."  And they have to decide if they should place the sentence on the sheet that says Past, Present or Both. 

Below are the pictures of the All Star Fun Run.  I didn't get very many because I was asked to assist in marking laps on the children's shirts.

Some very cute Pilgrims and Native Americans showed up to our feast. I am thankful for my sweet class!
